    Is your supply chain at risk? Virus Update & Key Recommendations

    There have been 2 updates on virus in cattle in recent weeks, with bird flu being found in cattle in the US for the first time and an update on Bluetongue in the UK.Ā  It is recommended that all livestock producers and those involved in the supply chain keep abreast of regulatory updates and put in place precautionary measures where applicable according to a risk assessment as well as having a fully prepared crisis management plan.     Food and Agri Update - 19th April

New research published by the ASA on environmental claims in the food sector and key recommendations for the future; regenerative farming and eco-label consultation referenced.     ASA Environmental Claims in Food advertising ā€“ Further Scrutiny expected from July 2024

    An overview of recent research findings and recommendations is provided. Although the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) concluded there was no widespread need for enforcement action to bring claims into compliance with the advertising rules in the food sector, they would none the less be providing for additional monitoring and follow-up engagement from July 2024. Guidance was also to be provided on the use of the term 'regenerative farming' and preparation towards a consultation on a food eco-labelling scheme.
